Add the peppers and cook for 10-15 minutes (depending on how large the peppers are)
1 red pepper, 1 yellow pepper
Once the skins are blackened and blistered, remove from the air fryer and put into a bowl. Cover the bowl with a tea towel or lid.
Leave the peppers for 5 minutes to cool and steam. The steam will help loosen the skins.
Remove the skins, de-seed the peppers, chop up and use as desired.
Notes
For extra smokey flavor: For the smokeyest flavour, make sure the pepper skin is really quite blackened. This recreates the BBQ flavour without needing to get the grill out!Don't Miss this step:Covering the peppers after cooking allows them to steam, which loosens their skin, so it can be slipped off easily.Storage: Store the peppers in an air tight container for up to 7 days in the fridge. You can preserve the peppers for longer by adding vinegar and salt.
