Line a sheet pan or your air fryer basket with parchment paper.
2 tins chickpeas drained.
Roll the chickpeas in the oil & salt around to coat them all then put into the oven (oven 200℃℉ 400℉) for 25 mins OR air fryer 180℃/356℉ , turning after 10 mins.
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil , 3 teaspoon flakey salt
Cook longer for a crispier texture.
Around 5 - 10 mins before you take them out of the oven, add any extra spices then return to the oven.
2-3 teaspoon mild chilli powder
Cook for a further 5 mins then leave to cool slightly

There are so many flavor variations you can try for these crisp chickpeas!
Christmas/Bar Snacks - Smoked Paprika, Garlic Powder, Finely Chopped Rosemary, Brown Sugar or Maple Syrup and optional chili powder. Add the rosemary at the end of cooking so it doesn't burn.
Cheesy - nutritional yeast (for a vegan snack) or parmesan cheese. Add garlic powder or onion powder and sprinkle a little lemon juice for added tang.
Salt & Vinegar -Soak the chickpeas in apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar before roasting. Add sea salt to taste.
Spicy- try cajun seasoning or garam masala, and spritz a little lemon juice over at the end of roasting.
Other spices to try are Cayenne Pepper, black pepper or lemon garlic seasoning! Get creative.
