We are Louise-Claire Cayzer and Vanessa Sturman, founders of The Vegan Larder - a fun, playful and relatable seasonal recipe blog. One that is not yoga food, and is much more than just salad and goji berries! We are seasonal plant based food specialists, recipe creators and coaches.
We create delicious, exciting and flavourful recipes that appeal to a large flexitarian audience as well of course to vegans and vegetarians. We support people in going plant based or just getting more vegetables into their diets, by creating delicious, sustainable and kind food. We make veganism easy & fun, and 'de-scarify' (new word - we're going there) plant based cooking.
Our recipes cover everything from breakfast, easy midweek meals, canapes and cakes, to BBQs, wedding food, Christmas and birthdays! We even have a Christmas recipe book available (affiliate link)! Our recipes encompass home-cooked goodness, with global cuisine inspiration. We love veganising our favourite traditional dishes for that element of nostalgia, which our audience love.
We have a free online community, which anyone interested in yummy vegan food can join. We share practical advice, answer your questions and support you in your plant based journey. Join How To Go Plant Based.

Initially, I started out blogging about seasonal vegan food and gardening at Poppy and the Bees, which has now been morphed into The Vegan Larder. Poppy & the Bees came about because I had just moved to a gorgeous village on the edge of London, and spent a summer digging, growing, picking and then experimenting with cooking all the produce from my garden. I love to cook, in an easy-going, vegetable-focused way, that is tasty, fun and welcoming. This means we have loads of friends come & visit - whether for a Sunday lunch, a party or a whole weekend.
So I found myself scribbling recipes on bits of paper for people to take away, or promising & forgetting to email what I had done... and eventually thought it might be easier to just write a blog about my food & the vegetables we'd grown that inspire the dishes.
Then I met Vanessa through mutual friends. We spent a few weeks chatting, going to vegan events and even a few cooking sessions. We decided that maybe two heads were better than one when creating a new business and our new venture was born!
