We are Louise-Claire and Vanessa; friends and The Vegan Larder founders. We are seasonal plant based food specialists, coaches & recipe creators. We love nothing more than showcasing incredible vegan food with love, humour, and above all, flavour.
While we weren’t always vegan, we were always food and cooking lovers! So when we went vegan we made it our mission to eat the tastiest and most exciting dishes, and discover the best vegan food products on the market. We found that:
- so many traditional dishes we used to eat needed ‘veganising’ (yes, of course that’s a word)
- new exciting seasonal recipes needed creating
- someone had to explore the market for the best new products to cook and eat with. Yes, we commit to trying A LOT of food for our followers. You’re Welcome!
Out of this came The Vegan Larder!
So, what inspires us?
When Louise-Claire first started this blog before meeting Vanessa, the inspiration came from her amazing garden in the countryside where she grows all sorts of fresh vegetables. We love to show people how easy it is to cook seasonal food, and how endless the possibilities are with what you can do with vegetables.
We’re in love with our planet, the animals and also want to cook for our health, as well as teaching others how to adopt this lifestyle with ease. Eating seasonally and eating lots of vegetables is a great way to do this. Yes, we still love our treats (especially Vanessa!) so also expect to see lots of delicious plant based desserts and sweet things on our blog.
What we do
We spend our time creating delicious seasonal recipes for our blog, coaching others in plant based eating and reviewing some of best current and new vegan products in the market (either in our recipes or just on their own - we need a break from cooking too sometimes!).
We have a consultancy service creating recipes for food products, restaurants and other establishments, from sandwiches to gourmet wedding menus.
Anyone who wants to learn more about plant based eating and cooking is welcome to join our free online community - How To Go Plant Based. We personally answer your questions, post easy recipes & advice, and support you in your plant based journey.
