🛒 Commercial Fish
The plant based and vegan market is now full of lots of great products, and it has certainly come along way when it comes to fish and seafood replacements. They are in your supermarkets and online, so very accessible, and perfect for when you're short of time. These are some we find most useful (and tasty!):
Taking the supermarkets by storm, these filling VivEra plant fish fillets are ideal in a big sandwich or that lazy midweek meal.
Essential for those Thai dishes to add in that 'fishy' flavour, or to make vegan kimchi. This product is reasonably priced and available in many supermarkets or online (affiliate link).
Quorn is a long-standing vegetarian brand, and they've certainly kept up with our needs. These taste like the ones I had when I was kid. Perfect with chips and peas!
VBites, founded by passionate vegan Heather Mills, has a selection of vegan fish products. One you may love is their vegan smoked salmon. They also have fillets, fish cakes and scampi.
You can even buy vegan breaded shrimp from companies like Vegan Zeastar. They taste so close to the real thing, and are perfect for canapes.
So many options and recipes for replacing fish and seafood, I imagine now you feel spoilt for choice! We're excited to see more even more products come on the market, and keep an eye on our blog for more vegan fish and vegan seafood recipes.
